Sundinless Canucks Win ~ Take 3-0 Series Lead…..

The Vancouver Canucks have proven something on Sunday. They have Depth. They have Depth at forward and they have Depth at Defense. With Mats Sundin out of the line up with a lower body injury the Blues fans let out a collective cheer when it was announced the big swede would not be playing game 3. That may have been the only thing they could remember being happy about in this series.

While the Blues finally were able to put more than cursing past Robert Luongo they were not able to out score the Canucks to fall behind 3 games to nothing.

Andy MacDonald and David Backes scored for St Louis while Daniel Sedin, Mattias Ohlund and Steve Bernier (GWG) replied for the the Canucks

Chris Mason is showing signs of cracking under the pressure allowing 3 goals for the first time in the series.

Will the Canucks close out the Series on Tuesday? Not if the Blues have something to say about it. Canucks will need to bring their best game to date, and with the way this post season has gone we dont think that will be a problem.

Canucks Republic 3 Stars
1. Daniel Sedin ~ Fifth point of the series.

2. Steve Bernier ~ First goal of the playoffs and the game-winner

3. Andy McDonald ~ Solid most of the night and has been the Blues best player all post season

Quotable ~ “I just had to put it in,” Bernier said. “A great feeling. It was nice execution by everybody.”
