Homer 1040 is now claiming they were the first to break the story early last week that the Canucks were getting Mats Sundin. What’s worse is Homer 1040 has created ads on their station stating this. The radio ad had Don Taylor and David Pratt claiming they announce Sundin was coming to Vancouver earlier last week and then advising people to listen to the station because they had the goods.
HOMER 1040 has definitely become a shill for the Vancouver Canucks organization!
These pathetic bloggers got it right again while fat overpaid with IQs less than 50 radio jockeys plagarize everything and everyone. The other question is Homer 1040 losing money that they are so desperate to create such an ad? Tough times indeed since the second saviour (first was Mark Messier) to the Canucks is providing a lot of fodder of Canucks being Stanley Cup bound.
By the way, here’s the story that was broken by two Swedish newspapers back in July and accredited properly by bloggers:
JULY 20, 2008 AFTONBLADET/DAGENS NYHETER (DN.SE): both reported former Toronto Maple Leafs captain Mats Sundin has apparently decided to sign with the Vancouver Canucks. Sources within the Sundin camp claims his agent reportedly rejected an offer from a KHL team telling that club that Sundin is “cleared for the Canucks”. No official statements have been made by Sundin or his agent.
Tomorrow I’ll outline what the Canucks hope Santa delivers.
