Bruins host Canucks for Coffee and Donuts

Friday, February 5th, 2010

the Game is EARLY really Early 930 am. I Dont like Canucks in early morning games. While we have a decent record from what I can recall the last 2 we have won and lost big players to injury (Luongo to a few weeks due to a knee injury).

I like the under as well most likely a 2-1 game in OT or SO.

Boston and Canucks have had a history of low scoring games recently.

2009 Boston wins 1-0
2008 Boston wins 2-0
2007 Canucks wins 5-2
2006 Boston wins 2-1 OT
2005 Canucks win one 6-5 and Boston wins one 6-3 (I was at this one actually)

But even with 5 years of history showing the low scores in 3 of the 6 the high scores of the other 3 show one thing. Stats mean nothing in this pick. What does mean something is both teams need to get out of their funk (Canucks the last 3 and Bruins the last 10)

I see a Defense first game with the Canucks trying a little harder to come out faster and with the first goal.

its a pick as far as I can see but the score will be low.

Canucks vs Coyotes

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

COYOTES (26-14-4) at CANUCKS (26-16-1)

Last 10 — Phoenix 6-2-2; Vancouver 7-2-1

Canucks Last Game: 7-3 W vs Columbus (JAN.05.10)
Coyotes Last Game: 5-4 OT/W at Edmonton (JAN.05.10)

Last Meeting: Coyotes Win 3-2 SO(DEC.29.09)

Canucks looking for redemption from the shoout out loss to ex Canuck Labarbera. Expect Bryzgalov to get the start tonight with Luongo starting again for the Canucks.

Canucks @ Stars – Another Morning Game

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

these games are deadly for Vancouver. They always seem to lose or lose a player to LTI.

CANUCKS (24-16-1) at STARS (18-11-11)

Last 10 — Vancouver 7-2-1; Dallas 5-3-2

Last 2 Meetings
Nov 6, 2009 VAN@DAL DAL, 2 – 1
Oct 11, 2009 DAL@VAN VAN, 4 – 3

Turco always plays the Canucks well. His record and goals against vs Vancouver is very very good. going 18-8-1 lifetime with a 2.33 GAA

Luongo is 9-4-2 lifetime against Dallas and has a 2.26 GAA

both goalies have gone to shootouts against each team a total of 3 times with the edge going to luongo.

I would expect a a low scoring game today

Game NOTE: Brad Lukowich clears waivers. Will be suiting up for the Canucks today most likely

Canucks vs Blues – New Years Eve

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Happy New Year

Blues are terrible at home 6-13-2

Canucks are bad on the road 7-10-1

something has to give

Blues are the dog for this game at +110
Over is +110 at 5.5

Canucks lost 2 defenseman this week 1 to injured calf 1 to injured pride. Kevin Bieksa had his calf cut again and will be week to week while Mats Schneider allegedly walked out on the team this week prompting the canucks to waive him (he cleared) and he wont be recalled.

Canucks vs teams from the Central Division (2-7-0).
Blues vs teams from the Northwest Division (6-3-1).

Canucks are on a roll at 7-2-1 in their last 10 with the Blues struggling at 4-6-0. The Blues have always been a tough opponent for the Canucks in the regular season but I think that trend changes tonight with a Canucks victory on the under.

Happy New Year be safe and GO CANUCKS GO

When Does the Season Start? – Wake Up Canuck Fans!

Friday, November 20th, 2009
Wake up Sleepy Kitty. The Canucks are playing tonight!

Wake up Sleepy Puppy. The Canucks are playing tonight!

I cant believe the schedule for this team. its ludicrous. It feels like we cant gain any momentum win or lose. It feels like we havent even been playing. I am losing all interest for each game with the length of delays I cant imagine how the players feel. The problem here is that the Canucks and many of their fans have had too much time off early in this season. Thankfully a game is actually being played tonight.

The Canucks Play the Avalanche in Vancouver returning from a 5 game road trip that saw the Canucks finish 2-3 with the last game being a 8-2 thrashing of the very same Avalanche. They will not have soon forgotten that. The Avs are also on their 3rd game in 4 nights having lost to Edmonton on Wed and beating Calgary on Tue. The Canucks are playing their 2nd game in 6 nights and 2nd in 8 nights. Lets hope the Canucks are not too tired. :/

I wouldnt expect any changes to the Canucks line up from last weeks game… sigh…… Last Week. Luongo in net. Daniel Sedin is supposed to return on Sunday but may be back tonight (remote possibilty). If Daniel is back then Wellwood will likely sit (not sure why, wouldnt his offensive power of 1 assist this whole season would be missed)

Will Anderson start in goal for the Avs, he has been lit up for 11 goals against Vancouver in their last 2 games played.

Go Canucks Go!
