the Game is EARLY really Early 930 am. I Dont like Canucks in early morning games. While we have a decent record from what I can recall the last 2 we have won and lost big players to injury (Luongo to a few weeks due to a knee injury).Â
I like the under as well most likely a 2-1 game in OT or SO.Â
Boston and Canucks have had a history of low scoring games recently.Â
2009 Boston wins 1-0
2008 Boston wins 2-0
2007 Canucks wins 5-2
2006 Boston wins 2-1 OT
2005 Canucks win one 6-5 and Boston wins one 6-3 (I was at this one actually)
But even with 5 years of history showing the low scores in 3 of the 6 the high scores of the other 3 show one thing. Stats mean nothing in this pick. What does mean something is both teams need to get out of their funk (Canucks the last 3 and Bruins the last 10)Â
I see a Defense first game with the Canucks trying a little harder to come out faster and with the first goal.Â
its a pick as far as I can see but the score will be low.

February 5th, 2010Canucks in trouble again….
February 5th, 2010The Canucks are most likely not going to miss the playoffs and they are most likely going to finish with a record of about 100 points (give or take 2) the fan base again is going to get very excited when they get to the post season to only realize one thing. They got our hopes up again.
No we are not going to jump off the band wagon after a small 2 game losing streak after winning 7 straight. But what we have to point out is the 2 games under .500 the canucks are on the road. This is not terrible by any means not at all.
What is terrible is the way they play on  the road. They barely scraped by the worst team in the League after falling behind 3-0 in the first period so really they should be on a 3 game losing streak (but they are not so we cant really harp on that).
This team is Jekyll and Hyde when it comes to home and away hockey. At home they are the most dominant force in the league. On the road they more resemble one of the worst. The way they have been playing on the road this year is too inconsistent and if they cant come out of this road trip at least .500 (on the road not the season) They will not do anything in the playoffs.
The Canucks will finish the season with most of their games at home where they will get a big boost in confidence from their home play (10 of their last 14 are at home), that is until at least they play on the road in the playoffs and we could see a quick exit.
Last 5 stanley cup champions road records
Penguins 20-15-6
RedWings 25-12-4
Ducks 22-14-5
Hurricanes 21-14-6
Lightning 22-12-4-3
Not one of those teams  had a subpar road record (the Penguins being probably the worst of the bunch) and its no fluke.
YOU HAVE TO WIN ON THE ROAD.
there are 11 games left on this road trip. We hoped they would win 8 or 9 of the 14 (8-6 record was very reasonable) to do that they now have to go 7-4 which is very salvageable But not playing like they did against Ottawa.
Happy Hockey Day in Canada
January 30th, 2010Canucks @ Leafs
Canadiens @ Senators
Oilers @ Flames
One of the best days of the hockey year. Where all 6 canadian teams face each other in one day. Unfortunately it will be hosted by the biased CBC and their referee cohorts for the days festivities.
Once marveled upon as the best Hockey show on TV, HNIC with its recent display of biased loyalty to the NHL and the all so mighty Toronto Maple Leafs has left such a sour taste in our mouths. TSN should take over all Hockey shown in Canada and become a true hockey Network. We can handle their East biased as they will give the West their due.
Bitter? A little we suppose but what can we do. Most other teams bloggers (and I dont consider us a blogger in any means we are just hacks having fun) consider all Canucks fans to be whiney and sad and half our team to be punks and divers.
Nothing we are going to say it going to change anyones minds. Lots of negativity has been against the Canucks in hockey circles of late. The Canucks begin their mammoth 14 game road trip and we can say all we want is to win and win lots. Winning takes everything away. And it seems to come a little easier when the world is against you.

January 22nd, 2010NHL and CBC Vilifies Alex Burrows – Coach V Defends
January 17th, 2010Case Closed. Well so said the NHL last week. In that Span Colin Campbell has gone on Radio out East and Last night on CBC pre game to Vilify our Alex Burrows. While of course we in the Canuck West hold a little (if not a lot in some cases) bias for Burrows I think everyone agrees that the evidence against Auger was damning. The Above video of Coach V defending Alex 100% so vehemently shows a few things.
- Ron McLean hold 1000% bias for the NHL. Not even his Media Background prevented him from embarrassing himself on the way he talked about Burrows and showed the Eastern Video replays of the events that led to this mess. He didn’t talk about the 31 seconds that Auger talked to Burrows pre game (as talked about in the Video) he just pointed out what he felt and he decided to interpret to the delight of the NHL as showing Burrows faking everything.
- The NHL is tainted even more. They are really the bottom of the barrel of the professional league and has no care that their officials change games at their will on ego.
- Coach V loves his team, loves his players and will go to the wall for them each and every-time. This is a makings of a great coach. This will help this team bond through this and the monster road trip up coming.
This needs to go away now and the only way it will is if the NHL just shuts the hell up about it. They seem to be doing all the talking and the Canucks are just responding. Burrows has shut-up about it and the Canucks did to until Colin Campbell decided to run his mouth all week. Coach V called out the NHL last night. He Called out Stephen Auger and we applaud him for it.
On the way out of GM Place last night. Coach V had this last comment.
“I’m not done with our boy Ron,â€
Well Done Coach.
